About Us
This is the site for the South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire District Association of the Cyclists Touring Club.
If you would like to ride with us click on the Rides window above. If you want to get involved click on the Social window. If you are visiting the area the Visitors window takes you to routes and inside information from local CTC members.
Clicking photos will bring up a larger version (if it exists). If there are multiple photographs in an item the arrows under the larger image can be used to see a slideshow.

Brilliant webpage, such an improvement on the old one. Lotsa info on what SYNDDA is doing. Although I don’t get out with the group (yet!!!!) I still like to know whats going on with the group.
Glad you like it Tim – the autumn sees some shorter rides, with later start times, so you can still get a Sunday morning lie in and join a ride!
Hi the website is such an improvement on the old, even a technophobe like me can use it with ease. well done Gareth.
Hi Gareth, great website! hope I can keep you fed with photos and new material. Would you consider putting Autumn Tints rides on the site?
Thanks Theresa and Meryl
Meryl – yes of course, please just send me the details of the rides to webmaster@syndda.org
Wow – great site
I hope you have put a plug for it on the member group section of the CTC Forum, other groups should see this.
Kevin Mayne, CTC Chief Executive
Thanks Kevin
Hadn’t thought to plug it on the forum. Will do now.
Cheers
Gareth
Hi,
Don Valley Cycles put me on to you, I must say the Web Site is excellent, so much to digest, but very informative.
I’m not new to Cycling, but lets say, it has been a very very long time since I last did any.
I bought a new bike a few months ago, the usual reasons, lose weight, get fit, but most of all, the enjoyment of it.
Now I find I would love to join others, but everyone I talk too wants to go fast, no good to me, I have a design fault (overweight) and i’m well past my sell by date. I just want to Peddle for Pleasure and Leisure, so any help in finding a few like minded people would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
John Aston
Hi John
Thanks for getting in touch – have emailed Barry the club secretary and we’ll get back to you. Cheers
Gareth (webmaster)
As the person who looked after the old website (but didn’t design it) may I echo those comments?
Thanks Simon
